GIRISH RAO
Advocate & Solicitor
Lex Consultus is led by Girish Rao, Advocate & Solicitor. Before commencing independent practice, he served as Head of Legal at a leading real estate firm, where he gained first-hand exposure to the planning, structuring, financing, and execution of real estate projects, along with regulatory approvals and dispute management.
This industry experience, combined with active court practice, enables Lex Consultus to advise with an understanding of both legal process and commercial realities. Matters are approached not only from the perspective of legal correctness, but also with an appreciation of how they unfold in real-world application.
Industry & Regulatory Experience
The practice draws on direct exposure to the real estate project lifecycle, including internal structuring, regulatory approvals, and compliance. Girish Rao was involved in RERA project registrations during the initial phase of the Act’s implementation and continues to advise on regulatory compliance matters under RERA and allied laws.
This regulatory experience informs advisory, documentation, and dispute strategy, particularly in matters involving developers, societies, and homebuyers.
